Namaste my chelas. The newness of this morning is at command of my words. I wait for the Dawn Mother Usha, who is still asleep in the east. There is no wind and the stars are the jewels over our beloved Kashi. The lights from the mandirs are reflecting on our Ganga. I can feel our dead and the dead can feel their Ma. They wait for a flower, a pranam, a memory, a smile. They wait for nothing. The ashes of our many dead grace our Ganga’s breast. They have learnt patience. They know the Mother is always there and will be the one to place the first flower on their Ganga’s surface. I bow to the Mother Ganga this morning as her sister dawn sleeps quietly in the eastern sky waiting to have us acknowledge her being in the form of a new day. My morning prayer for all of you is that you begin to be patient in your pursuit of the Gods.
Ven. Chogyam Trumgpa always said:Grace is patience and silence: We come to terms with our basic aloneness in the patience that silence brings. We are all just learning how to die. My prayer to the Divine Mother is that my Chelas understand that the last breath is taken alone and that they all become comfortable with the aloneness of death. This great aloneness is what bliss is made of. This great aloneness is what brings you the happiness of detachment. If you sit quietly and ask the Mother to show you her manifestation of SHE WHO COMES FROM WITHIN, you will begin to feel her deep inside the cave of your heart. SHE WHO COMES FROM WITH IN, is none other than the Mother Kali in all her aspects. She is the Goddess who dwells in the Himalayas of the soul to come to the cremation grounds of your hearts to slay the ego and bring you her peace of the Mountains where Shiva dwells. She has distinguished herself over the centuries as the Mother who removes her childrens darkest hours. She has slain self conceit and self deprecation as they go as the name of angry passion. The Goddess of Love, Kamala, has joined in with her Mother Kali and has brought you the breath of love, that is the Mother breath. The simple awareness of the breath as you read these words will bring you to a quiet start of this new day, and angry passion will turn into love’s own child, PASSION. Be patient my children with your self this day and be patient with others. Let your nature be of the great Mother’s love instead of the worlds darkness. She, Usha, has not arrived yet. I wait to do Puja to the great newness of her breasts as they flow with the milk of patience. Be light this day. Be patient this day. Hurry and calm down as all gets done in her name. Be Shiva, this day as the Mother steps upon his chest. He is content with all his strength, to just lie still beneath her feet.
Feel the pressure of her feet upon your chest this day. This can all happen when you simply are aware of your breath. Sing out her praise. I shall hear you and compose a song to the Mother Kali as I do Puja to her. She is across our Ganga now ready to burn all she has taken from you in the cremation grounds of your heart. You are new. You are free. You are Mine You are His. I love you. This new dawn loves you. You are in my Pujas Love Ma Jai Usha Ma Ki Jai
