Om Ganesha, Morning Pujas and Prayers. August 14, 1999
Namaste my chelas.
Once I asked my Baba, what are the qualities that the Mother Laxmi loves the best in Her chelas, in Her devotees?
He answered without thought, “Those who are kind and love all beings. Those who are filled with generosity, austerity and compassion. Those who are self controlled and have great convictions of spirituality. Those who judged no one. Those who rose early in the morning and started their day with prayer. Those who helped others in grief.”
The list went on and on.
I was so impressed with what My Baba had to say about His Mother Laxsmi.
I knew that our Baba adored the Mother Kali and He himself taught me in great detail how to do Puja to Her. Yet when he talked of Mother Laxsmi, His whole being lit up. Tell me more my Baba I asked.
Mother Laxsmi is the balm in which one wears after the Mother Kali strips the ego naked. This all encompassing Divinity is available to all peoples of the world in many forms. One only has to have deep compassion for those who are in need. The Mother Laxsmi then sheds her joy and bliss all over them and the kind chelas are drenched in the Mothers love and affection.
At that moment I bent down before this beautiful Mother Laxsmi and kissed each toe in gratitude and joy.
I say to you my chelas you have to be fearless in order to be kind at all times. You have to be able to eat your ego as you go about serving others on or off the path. In order to be kind one can not have judgment in any way. One may think that the kindness of one person is a very easy thing to be. In order to have compassion one must forget ones mind. If you live each day in the spirit of devotion then the mind begins to fade away and the heart begins to take over.
Mother Laxsmi’s Divine form is beyond all beauty and this form can dwell in the heart of compassion of all my chelas. This day be extra kind to others and your self and feel the Mother with you all this day. Create inside of you that place that is free of ego even if it just lasts a few moments. Those few moments can be the beginning of forever. I bow to my Baba and touch my head to his feet. I am so grateful the way He and my Swami taught me and now I can pass it all on to you slowly and surely.
Be open my chelas and be ready to receive all the teachings from the great ones, yet always be grateful and take nothing for granted. Blessed is this Kashi of Neem Karoli Baba. Blessed is this Kashi of the Mothers. Blessed are the chelas who dwell there on the sacred Soil. Know you are blessed my chelas.
I think my chelas you are getting an understanding. Be kind, compassionate, and feel the Mother at all times.
These are my pujas and these are my prayers. I love you. Love, Ma. Jai Kali Ma Ki Jai
