Om Ganesha. Morning Pujas and Prayers August 26, 1999

Namaste my chelas,

So many have asked your Ma, how come you don’t burn out since you are always with the dying and the sick and even the dead.

I smile and say, my children I am always with my Guru. I repeat His name over and over. I am always with my Mother Kali. I repeat Her name over and over."

If you get in the habit of doing japa, either in your heart, mind or on a mala, you will find yourself controlling your mind and, thus, pulling yourself into a great state of happiness.

Say your mantra over and over. If you do not have a mantra, you can say, “Om Namah Shiva,” “Om Namah Kali,” “Om Namah Hanuman,” or “Om Namah Jesus.” Just choose one mantra that will sustain you until the Guru comes and gives you one Herself.

To feel the Guru at all times one must wake up from a deep sleep of the world. What was always in front of you will make itself known, What was always there will demand of you to be the best you can be. What has always followed you life time after life time will expect to be acknowledged in the moment. What always was in your heart will allow you the depth of the Moment. When you wake up from the gross sleep of life and death, everything holds a different meaning for you. That which made you sad and sorrowful will not affect you. You will be in the deep place of detachment. True love is detached love. Attached love is not love at all, it is possession. Can you hold water in your hand and it still flow fresh and free? NO!!! Can you posses the Mother and tightly hold her still? No! Be attached to nothing at all, and be in love with all. Let all your attachments burn in the flame of love for the Guru Mother.

Truly, at this moment let your heart fill up with the love of Mother Guru. Feel a warmth spread throughout your chest. No attachment can live in this fire cave of your love for your Guru. Yet that warmth must spread out to the world. Like little streams coming from the Ganga of the Guru’s heart, all are nurtured and loved. It is only due to the sleep of ignorance that one mistakes attachment for love. When you begin to cross over worldly desires to the great desire of sitting at the feet of the Guru, yearning becomes earning. You earn the grace of the Ganga. You earn the grace of the Guru.

Through Mantra, Yantra, and Tantra the Guru teaches one the truth of detachment. She who is the giver of virtue slays the mind of attachments and lets you feel the nectar of liberation at the feet of the Guru.

Repeat the name of God over and over. The Mother loves to hear the name of God. She will sing in your voice as She asks Lord Ganesha to take your song to the Gods. She who is the consort to Lord Shiva dances on His magnificent chest bearing the song of her chelas mantras.

All of our blessed Kashi is made up of the Mothers prayers and Pujas. The Mysteries of Karma are so vast that one can not help to be in awe of it all. It is the Guru who puts everything in its proper place and perspective. We all live on last life’s karmic breath. The Mother Kali whispers her own breath in a way that one who loves her with out doubt or shame, rides the breath of her lion into the arms of the Parama Guru and God.

When you fall into that place of doubt and judgment you lose the Guru’s breath. This brings you to a place that is hard to get out of. How many times have I heard (I am stuck Ma.) Now the Mother says, give up doubt and judgment by saying the name of God over and over and the glue of attachment will break loose. Keep using the mind and not the heart and you will always have pain in your life. Be free of doubt and the blessings of Kashi will be yours. Not even the seeds of Karma can take root in Kashi’s soil. The only seeds that take root in our Blessed Kashi are the ones Lord Shiva and the Mother Kali plants.

When you are quiet and you can feel the warmth of the Mother in your chest, that is the waters of the Ganga that flow past the sacred city of Kashi.

This comes about when you give up worldly attachments and you serve others in the name of Mother.

And so when you ask the Mother, why she does not burn out. She answers: How can water burn, how can true love burn, how can true detachment burn. With my Beloved Guru in my heart I walk nourished and full, never parched nor tired. I serve His children as I serve My beloved. When you are quiet enough my children, then you will understand what the Mother means. Once your beloved is locked in your heart, nothing can hurt you or burn you or take you from His or Her arms. I wish this for all of you. To know your Beloved well.

These are my pujas and these are my prayers.

I love you.

Love, Ma
