Om Ganesha, Morning Pujas and Prayers from our Sacred Kashi Ashram Sept. 17, 1999
Namaste my chelas, There will come a time when you will realize that only God in all Her forms are real and the rest is caused by Maya and illusion. To realize the truth of this, one must have the Grace of the Guru and the love of the Gods. When you negate the unreal, your perception of the real is right in front of you. Once the Guru removes ignorance, there is the light of the Mother that Graces the self or the Jiva Atman. Ignorance of God and Guru is what brings such pain in ones life.
The universal Atman is free from all illusion. The universal Atman is free from the pains of life and death.
When one realizes she or he is not the physical self, a transformation begins to happen.
The light of the Gurus knowledge will destroy the harsh veil of ignorance. Individuality can bring grief and sorrow. It is when one learns of the Atman that he begins to feel connected to God the Mother and God the Father.
When you live a life of complexity you begin to crave more and more of the world.
Your Ma lives Her life at the feet of Her Baba Neem Karoli. It is a simple way of living. His feet is my life line. His smile is my joy. His being sustains me. Nothing is complex. All is simply the Guruji.
Living at the feet of the Guru promotes a higher and deeper way of living. And this living is authentic in the ways of the Mother.
During this recent Hurricane so many had to take with them so little. We had to choose what to leave with, if we had to leave.
I could only think of my Murties and pictures of my living Guru.
All of us did not want to leave our Sacred Ashram and so in the moment of decision we decided to pray and stay.
As long as they did not force us to leave we were going no where. This was a simple decision and we acted on it right away.
There was no complications in our hearts. The moment people have so much in their life that they have to truly choose, then life becomes very complicated.
One needs only enough to fulfill their purpose of living life. Yet one should not look away from prosperity.
Prosperity allows one to help others in a fine and good way.
What your Ma is saying is that one can have everything yet not to be attached to anything.
It does not take a near disaster to make one understand the true value of life.
To behave as if poor is not a good thing either. To be in rags does not make you holy or simple.
Yet not to be attached to those things of the world certainly brings you lots more joy than if you were attached.
I watch the children and admire there child like purity. It is this purity that keeps the Grace of Guru, flowing like the Sacred Ganga River.
When a chela is simple His true self becomes a reality.
He begins to understand in the core of his being the love of God.
There is a divine harmony in the simple things that lie in the heart of the daughter or son of the Mother Kali.
I ask the Black Mother this morning to open the hearts of all my chelas to the simple joys of being chela in every moment of their lives.
These are my Prayers and these are my Pujas. I love you all so much and it is as simple as that. Love Ma Jai Kali Ma Ki Jai
