Om Ganesha, Morning Pujas and Prayers from our Sacred Kashi Ashram November 18, 1999
Namaste my chelas,
It is Kala, the black form of Shiva, who is the King of time. It is Shyama Kali, the black form of Kali, which is the Mother of time. Time is the great consumer.
This is why my chelas must understand that the moment is all that there is. No matter how much you know or think you know, eventually you will be overcome by time in the form of death. Be deeply in the moment, my chelas, and the wheel of time will be your companion, not your enemy.
The world is sustained by the Mother. The world IS the Mother. Understand about time, my chelas, try hard to understand. When you always think of the future or the past, the moment slips right past you. Then you wake up one morning and you are 80 or 90 years of age and your whole life has disappeared. One of the ways one lives in the moment is to be present by watching the breath going in and out or the rise and falling of the belly. As you watch the breath you begin to watch your life with a new gentleness and understanding. The Guru’s Playground is the Moment. All who play in the Guru’s Playground enjoy life and eat life whole. I ask the Dark Mother and the Dark Father of Time to show my chelas how to be in time by being in the moment.
These are my pujas and these are my prayers. I love you, Love, Ma Jai Kali Ma
