Om Ganesha,
Afternoon Pujas and Prayers
July 28, 2004
Namaste my chelas all over the world,
Do you understand that every time you read words from this Darshan Line you are spending time with your Mother Guru.
When you can bring your awareness completely to the moment, you are breathing with the Mother and an understanding to the silent bardo in the silent spaces between words.
Unfortunately in most of us there is a constant chatter in our heads that will not leave.
The secret to ignoring the chatter is to understand the stillness in the different Bardos.
Living in a family of Gurubais and your own family like we have on our Sacred Ashram, every one is close to every one else.
The language that we use does not leave out any one or have any feeling alone amongst the many.
We follow the Hindu Philosophy of non violence and our Baba’s Teachings of Feed Everyone.
Learning the ART of meditation on the Self ties the threads together of Gurubai and family.
In some cases there are four generations on our Sacred Ashram.
And all can feel the Soulful Lives that we all live.
Life does not have to be filled with complexity and stress.
It is all about ones reaction to another’s words or actions.
Thoughts are very related to all the Vital Forces that run through our minds.
Prana is the Vital Force of the Universal Soul Mother and the individual Being.
Negativity can bring an ugliness to a persons whole body language.
They get stooped over with THE DESIRE TO BE RIGHT and all joy is stopped and yet the heart is still beating and yearning.
All negative thoughts makes one hunched over and contracting into themselves and in this way they are fitting easier and easier into the Cubby Holes.
Compared to the Being who has learnt to conquer stress even slightly, it is like night and day.
The whole trouble is that we tend to listen to the ego who says to every cell in our Being, STILLNESS IS BORING, DOING AND THINKING NEGATIVE THOUGHTS IS EXCITING.
One stops the Natural State Of Consciousness of Goodness and Wholeness and simply the joy of life.
The mental chaos brings such a noise to our life and traps one in the Cubby Holes.
There is a continuous one way conversation in a head and soon one begins to identify with this path of the ego.
The Science of Oneness can not be felt with a great ease.
Where is the relief.
My chelas, the relief comes from being honest to yourself and becoming aware as you are about to enter into where you do not want to be.
All of the Cubby Holes reaches out to the future or the past or both, I HAD OR I WILL HAVE is the mantra of the ego.
THIS MOMENT CAN NOT BE RIGHT SAYS THE EGO.
Especially if there is a Stillness.
This is embedded in the structure coming from life times of listening to the mind and not to the heart.
Wishing is not the same as praying.
Praying keeps you in the moment and wishing brings you to wanting always wanting and never living.
A negative thought, once it has been acted upon can only be sustained with a web of lies.
Looking for others to be perfect is bringing one down to the connecting Karma of blame.
Each of us have the power to be every thing we want to be at any given moment.
Dullness comes with thoughts of a better tomorrow.
The Golden Light of the Mother is in the Now.
Never can we make someone what they are not, only what they strive to be.
Living in Community, there is always complications yet so much Love to live simply in the complication of lives.
I received a letter from our Raja Ma who writes with such a beautiful pen about one of her Gurubais.
This is living in the moment in the center of the Spiritual Family while honoring and respecting your birth family and soon you will honor the Earth Family.
Conscious efforts to better oneself in the moment pass on to your subconscious and becomes traits which sustain you.
To be aware and hesitating before you enter into the Space that will bring you stress is to fulfill your very existence by getting out of the conditioning of life times.
Just by saying over and over MY MA LOVES ME brings you such an easy way to hesitate before one begins to enter the grove of conditioning.
THE THOUGHT OF LIVING WITH MY BABA IN THE MOMENT IS ENOUGH TO SUSTAIN ME.
THE THOUGHT OF LIVING WITH YOUR GURU MOTHER AND TASTING HER LOVE ALWAYS IS TO BRING YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS OF A SAFE PLACE TO LOVE AND THERE FORE BRINGS A STILLNESS BEFORE THE EGO CAN CAUSE CHAOS.
To be trapped in the small self or the tightness of any of the Cubby Holes is to always try to get away from the moments joys or even sorrows.
The absence of stress is the start of the abundance of life even if stress is only slightly gone.
To enter into the Cubby Holes is easy, to leave through the empty space is facing your deepest fear.
So what do most do.
Turn and go where it is most familiar, the tight space one has gotten use to.
It is like getting angry and feeling you are angry and JUST CANT STOP.
One of the greatest lessons I have learnt from my Swami Nityananda is to learn how to develop a POSITIVE THOUGHT IN A DARK MOMENT.
This very moment Invoke the Black Goddess and ask for a deeper way to experience life and to experience death.
The Mother will show you how this experience can bring you to a GREAT SENSE OF SELF.
Between the moment of hesitation and actually stopping yourself before a negative moment tell your self NO PROCRASTINATION
Procrastination is Tamas or inertia and can become a unnecessary habit before you even notice.
MY CHELAS CARE FOR YOUR SOUL BY BEING AWARE OF YOUR MOMENTS.
I will help you every moment of my life.
I am going to take this moment to ask you to take a step with out procrastination and this is TO NOT FORGET TO VOTE.
You all have the power to change any thing that needs change.
Yet to procrastinate is to give another being power over you.
Vote my children Vote.
My Pujas and Prayers go out to the Black Mother Smashan Kali.
I ask the Great Mother of the Cremation Grounds to bring my chelas the awareness to better their lives and the lives of others.
This is my Puja and this is my Prayer.

Always and forever at His Feet, Our Neem Karoli Baba Ki Jai
Namaste Ma,
So glad to know that You have arrived safely and that everyone is getting settled in. Hope that this time of retreat brings You good rest, some laughter, and a renewed bridge to the joy, although where You are going to find a good piece of danish on Sanibel is beyond me!
Here is the part that Ananda Devi left out of her letter about the Feed Everyone dinner and I wanted You to have these images too. She is such a bigshot, so busy thanking everyone else, she forgot to tell You the rest.
A person has not really lived, until they are blessed to see Ananda Devi, leaning over a table, abundant with good, fresh, food that somehow she and her team have gathered once again, her face lit with happiness, singing, Take Me Out to the Ballgame, at the top of her lungs. The fact that hardly anyone sitting at the table can follow her tempo is of little consequence!
A person has not really lived, until they are graced to see Ananda Devi, connecting with practically every person in a room full of 250 people, knowing just about everyone’s name, and something of each one’s history, and of the 250 people, hugging at least 240 of them (alright maybe I’m wrong, maybe it was only 235).
A person has not really lived, until they are inspired by the sight of Ananda Devi, moving at the speed of light, simultaneously pushing 2 wheelchairs, yelling at Billy Hanuman, keeping an eye on 1008 details, and eating potato chips.
A person has not really lived, until they are honored to see and know Ananda Devi, her struggles and her scars, still so close to the surface, no excuses, nothing hidden, and in spite of, and perhaps because of, triumphant in her abilities to just keep doing the work of living the life of a Just Person.
Just a few of the details, thought You’d want to know a bit more from the frontlines, about this Seva Diva, your Ananda Devi Jaya, whom You have nurtured and taught for so long and so well.
I send You so much love and so many thanks, Raja Ma
