Om Ganesha,
Evening Pujas and Prayers
Oct. 2, 2007
Namaste my chelas all over the world.
Be aware this moment of your conscious thoughts.
Where does this thought come from?
Follow your thoughts and notice that they have no roots.
When you ask WHO AM I ? you are becoming part of a melting process of the ego thoughts.
Keep asking WHO AM I? and notice how the ego’s thoughts subside.
Where do the thoughts go ?
Feel the blank space between breaths or the gap between breaths that become the cremation ground of the ego’s thoughts.
Notice where the thought arises from.
You can not tell because the ego wants to take up space in your life.
The thoughts always change yet the space that they enter into always stays the same.
When you ask the question WHO AM I ? you are controlling the space between the breaths and it becomes the space of Grace.
This also becomes part of your Spiritual Awareness.
Use your breath to stop your mind from chattering away.
Keep very aware of your breath coming in and out.
When you find your thoughts coming up to the surface think of a beautiful sunset or sunrise.
You do not have to analyze either sunset or sunrise, it just is.
When you sit and meditate the ego sends thoughts of revenge or pain it can not stand you to be calm with in your thoughts.
Following your breath you become immune to your ego thoughts.
This gathers your spiritual awareness and makes you aware of it.
The ego paints a picture of your self filled with a constant state of aggravation.
When you make the choice for a peaceful existence you begin to tame the ego.
Every one longs for the peace of inner and outer happiness.
This moment ask of yourself, Do I want turmoil to enter my mind now or do I want compassion?
Ask this over and over DO I WANT TURMOIL TO ENTER MY MIND NOW OR DO I WANT COMPASSION?
Have your higher mind send a message to your ego to disappear.
When you allow the ego to invade your every day life you are giving it power to rule over you.
This moment you can make an a adjustment and bring calmness to your heart.
The Guru Mother is a continuing threat to the ego.
The ego itself is just an illusion that keeps you from making changes that will lead you to the Guru’s Feet.
When you put your Ashram and Guru before every thing you will find that your Guru will never betray you.
The more you run from the Guru the more the ego wins this game called life.
The facing away from Guru you brings more complications into your life.
All this running is the work of the ego.
When a few persons in community hurt you and you forget the wonderment of Guru it is the ego that is running your life.
When you forget the beauty of your Higher Self you live in chaos all the time.
The Guru lives in the Higher Self.
Hesitate before you write or speak.
When you are having a rough day, hesitate for a moment and practice loving compassion.
Make a list of all the things that the Guru loves in you.
Truly look deep inside the Guru’s heart and in this way you replace an unhealthy moment in your heart with a healthy one.
When you find some one else’s behavior offensive you forget that you live at the Feet Of The Guru.
When you want peace in your life practice forgiveness instead of running or wanting revenge.
This is the work of the ego that keeps you running.
You have to make a daily effort to live with out judgment.
Keep in mind that your Guru Mother will never judge you or betray you.
If you can practice saying WHO AM I OVER AND OVER, you will find that you will not have an angry hurt heart.
Embracing the Guru’s Feet, all that is not authentic will fall away.
The ego is the false self.
Abandon the ego and make forgiveness your companion and you will find that the Guru will lead you to the path of your Spiritual Self.
Life in Community especially an Interfaith Community life like our Kashi has you believe in your self more and more each day and yet if you let the ego bring disillusion to yourself, you are forgetting to be grateful and gratitude plus service is the fastest way to the Mother’s Heart.
When you accept your self as you are in the moment then you are accepting your spiritual relationship to your Guru Mother.
My Baba taught me to trust Guru with all my heart and in this practice I will be in harmony with the oneness of life and death.
Giving up all resistance to being perfect or having others be perfect is a joyful way of living.
What is perfection?
Does it matter?
When you belong to the ocean of awareness you are able to accept yourself as you are in this moment and there fore accept others as they are in this wonderful moment of awareness.
When you follow your breath you are embracing that part of your life that is void of ego.
To be on the path to liberation is to belong to the whole world.
Yet there is always the ego that wants the moment to live in yesterday and tomorrow.
The ego does not want you to live with awareness.
And yet you are the master of your own life.
Do not let a moment of feeling bad take you out of the moment of now.
The Guru never neglects the chela.
You are all so very loved by your Guru Mother.
Rediscover this love every moment of your life.
This is my Puja and this is my Prayer.
I love you all so very much.
Love Ma
Jai Kali Ma Ki Jai
Always at the Feet Of The Guru Neem Karoli Baba Ki Jai
