Om Ganesha,

Morning Pujas and Prayers

March 18, 2008

Namaste my chelas all over the world.

The world of the Mother is radiant and is ruled by love rather than the ambition of the ego.

Love is the dominant force in the Mother ’s World.

There are no shadows of deception in this world.

One is seen by the Mother as one is and is loved as one is.

Her love  is filled with so many degrees of divine light that has greater depths of revelation and joy.

Her Reality permeates all of creation

In the poems written or sang over twenty five years ago one can feel the love of the young Bhagavati portrayed in the  Bhagavati by the Ganges paintings.

Her love too is radiant and unconditional.

I love you my chelas.

Enjoy this simple poetry even if you do not understand it is your lineage and my legacy of the Ganga as is the paintings.

Love Ma

Jai Kali Ma Ki Jai

Always at His Feet Of Our Neem Karoli Baba Ki Jai

BHAGAVATI POETRY

Burn , burn burn, my dhuni.

Burn, burn burn my flame.

Agni, Agni do you hear me when I call your holy name?

Burn, burn burn my dhuni.

Learn Learn, Learn my chelas.

Burn and learn and wait for me to teach and I will.

I will,, I will always be, I will, I will always be.

Laksman, Laksman, teach me my love.

Laksman, Laksman what’s burning.

What’s the scent of frankincense and the dearest perfume of all?

Its incense from the Mother’s heart, its incense so fragrant and full.

Teach me my Laksman, so I know what to say when they gather beneath the trees to pray.

Teach me my Laksman so I know what to say, when they gather beneath the trees to pray.

Hey Laksman, say Laksman tell me now.

Will they come soon?

I’m so young for that.

Tell me what to do when they bring a flower and place it at my feet.

What do I do my Laksman.

He said quietly, simply give them prasad to eat.

Give them prasad to eat and they will know and they will know. Bhagavati my Bhagavati smell the sweet incense that I burn.

Learn, Bhagavati, soon it’ll be your turn.

Soon it’ll be your turn.

He Laksman, Hey Laksman do you see that?

A woman coming toward me dressed in black.

Don’t worry child , She wont hurt you.

She is Kali born for you.

I sat by the dhuni, my face aglow.

What do I do now?

I didn’t even know.

She came toward me all dressed in black.

Laksman, Laksman don’t turn your back.

Laksman Laksman don’t go away.

And then I ll ask this Mother to stay.

He looked at me and He laughed till He cried.

I thought He put a sword in my side.

What’s so funny God man  of my life?

You know Her  well He said to me She is yours and always will be.

You’ve given birth to Her in another life.

Around the dhuni sat us three, Laksman, Kali, Bhagavati.

Covered by the trees and the sounds of the birds.

I can hear but hardly heard.

What Mother, what Mother do you want of me.

Looking in my eyes for eternity.

What Mother what Mother do you want of me.

I asked then what you all ask me.

Why are you looking like that beneath my tree.

Please Kali, please Kali won’t you tell me"

Laksman Laksman please don’t go.

I am afraid of the Black Mother so.

With sagging breast and skulls around Her neck and a band of human hands around Her waist, Her face was wrinkled, such a disgrace.

And on Her ankles bells you can hear.

I was so afraid to have Her so near.

Laksman laughed as Laksman does.

Laksman laughed and he laughed at us.

Look in the eyes and the sagging breast.

And you will see who loves your children best.

I asked, How can this old crone be a help; to me?

Laksman I am so afraid that I can hardly see.

She looked in my eyes for eternity.

And bowed and said with the sweetest voice to Bhagavati.

My heart turned round and I knew there would be always a place at my dhuni for Kali, for Kali.

This time I looked in Her eyes and I saw beauty like I can not even say.

One second they were brown then they were pearl gray.

I love Her so and I said.

Do not go away Do not go away.

She grabbed my hand and I asked Her to stay.

Teach me Mother Kali , for I am young.

Teach me the songs that must be sung.

Listen my Bhagavati She said to me. You can’t walk the cremation grounds unless your free.

You’ll burn the bottoms of your soles, you’ll make your heart close.

Give the fullness of what you know and then let it go. let it go.

Laksman laughed and he laughed and he laughed.

You see, my child bride my Bhagavati, Kali would burn for you and for me.

Simply chela to set your free.

I watched you come to the mountain high.

Each one I gave a caress and a sigh.

I introduced you to Kali, My chelas.

And saw the fear in your eyes.

Until you saw your Ma kiss Her Feet.

Oh my God remember chela, what a treat!

The blackness of Her toes I will never forget.

Listen chela I am singing of it yet.

Don’t ever forget chela, don’t ever forget.
