Om Ganesha,
Evening Pujas and Prayers
June 2, 2008
Namaste my chelas all over the world.
Doing the breaths that your Ma gives you, is part of a healing for your spiritual and physical bodies.
Doing pranayama can also stop sadness that sometimes stick in your gut.
At times one holds on to emotional numbness simply because it feels familiar.
Yet it is painful not to feel your full life or your full breath.
This is how rage is born.
The Mother knows your heart and your feelings.
She will not allow you to shadow your feelings with your ego mind.
Some emotions are part of the ego’s basic power.
They serve the ego well.
The Mother monitors your breathing capabilities as She takes you into your heart during Darshan.
She brings you the shakti that you need to back away from your ego and live fully in the moment.
In meditation take the place of the witness, close your eyes and take a couple of deep wonderful letting go breath’s.
Allow your body to sink comfortable into your seat, always watching always the witness.
Doing this you will be able to live in the moment.
As you are watching your breath notice how the thoughts are arising and fading away.
Notice when you are holding on to a particular thought.
Say to yourself IT IS JUST A THOUGHT.
Pretend that you are just watching your thoughts as you find a natural rhythm.
Breathe quietly for a minute or so, looking at your breath through different eyes than ever before.
Detach yourself from your thoughts that is occupying your mind.
Say to yourself, IT IS OK TO THINK, I AM NOT ATTACHED.
Truly find yourself detaching from your thoughts.
Breathe in and out being alert for thoughts as you watch them rise and fall away, just like the breath.
Eventually learn to take up the possession of watching and witnessing your thoughts.
Begin to count like this, BREATHING IN ONE, BREATHING OUT ONE, BREATHING IN TWO BREATHING OUT TWO.
And so forth and so on.
Find how relaxed you are doing this type of breathing.
Do it as much as you can with out it being a chore.
When you lose your place in your counting, do not get frustrated simply start again.
You will see that eventually you are able to count to a higher and higher count.
After a while you begin to get rid of mind stuff that is meaningless.
Do not force any thing.
Let it all happen with your breath.
I find that my chelas are growing more and more as they watch their breath more and more.
You can not do this little spiritual exercise too much.
To get into the place of awareness try always to watch your breath.
This becomes enormously empowering.
One is so often bullied by their own thoughts.
This is the ego trying to take you out of your moment.
Try to relax as you begin to watch your breath more and more.
When our Baba taught your Ma about being the witness to the breath, I did not realize that I would be teaching this to hundreds and hundreds of my chelas.
I have seen lives change as the thinking pattern changes.
One eventually begins to reach the state of nirvana in which the Higher Mind becomes one with the Universal Mind.
Thus you develop the process of insight which leads to spiritual intuition.
You also develop courage to live your life taking care of your Ashram and your Gurubai.
Thus Kashi becomes heaven on earth as so many have come to call Her.
You do not have to concentrate perfectly on your breath, you just have to become more and more aware of your surroundings and the way you move through life.
Through this new found awareness your heart expands to allow more and more love to come in to your heart and your life.
Try now to center your breath in the middle of your chest.
Just watch your chest rise and fall always saying to yourself, rising, falling to the rhythm of your breath.
My chelas no matter how long or how many years you have been meditating, every day and even every moment can become a new adventure with awareness.
As you make ready for sleep, be aware of your breath and be grateful very grateful for your life at the Feet Of Your Guru.
There is no love like the love of Guru except if it is the love of chela for Guru.
This is such an exciting time of our lives together.
My Brooklyn Anjani and my Swami Mohan are getting ready to be with my Ganga Das and my Jaya Ma as our little baby girl begins to come into the world.
The baby is their first grandchild and my Shody’s first Great Grandchild and my Great grandchild chela.
All the babies are so wonderful.
How blessed we all are.
Look toward your Ganesha by the Ganges and give thanks to He who removes obstacles.
To answer one of your most asked questions, which way does the river flow.
It depends on how you are in the moment you are meditating and what it is you need.
The River will give you the feeling of flowing from left to right, when you need your heart to open and get the feeling of right to left when your Soul calls for you to be aware.
I love you my chelas.
Love Ma
Jai Kali Ma Ki Jai
Always at His Feet Of Our Neem Karoli Baba Ki Jai.
