Om Ganesha,

Afternoon Pujas and Prayers

June 15, 2008

Namaste my chelas all over the world.

Your response to the Darshan Line about the Karmic Spaces amazes me.

The 11 Karmic Spaces are in every one’s life and in every religion in some form or another.

When one lets the ego’s thoughts roam free, the Karmic Spaces begin to look quite inviting.

The one Karmic Space that takes you deeper and deeper into the ego’s darkness is the Space Of Indifference.

There is something so subtle about this space that you do not even realize you are falling into it.

Indifference keeps one from enjoying life.

One becomes quite selfish at times when they can not look beyond their own self.

When ever there is a conflict in the world or in the lives of others, they perceive that it has nothing to do with them.

They begin to believe that the world can take care of itself and refuse to serve any one in need.

This is the more apparent of spaces in the Karmic Space Of Indifference.

The subtle space is one who believes that they are doing well in their own spiritual development and become more and more self centered.

One of the other spaces in the Karmic Space of Indifference is when one becomes indifferent to their own needs.

They ignore all the bridges that connect them to Gods and Goddesses.

One begs to be taken deeper and deeper and yet does not meditate.

They become indifferent to discipline.

They deny their lack of spiritual progress and begin to think that their way is the only way.

That their thoughts are coming from their hearts instead of from the web that the ego spins.

One becomes emotional instead of quiet as they ignore the Souls request for stillness.

Fear of death sometimes makes one indifferent.

One thinks that death is an ending and therefore lives only in the space of what they call bliss.

When one awakes to the problems of others, they begin to renew themselves.

They can think of death as an adventure as important as life.

A spiritual exercise that can help keep one out of becoming indifferent is to sit quietly and meditate on what you want to be in life, not what you do not want.

Meditate on what you need to do to go deeper and deeper.

Then look and see what you have ignored in your life in order to not think or to make your life easier.

Meditate on what you would like for your self and for others.

Write it down.

Remind your self that you are a giving and caring person.

Remember you are what you think.

Meditate on your intuition.

DO NOT IGNORE YOUR OWN THOUGHTS.

Come to the place where you can feel that you are all things.

Remember that these are chosen thoughts.

And eventually even chosen thoughts will float away and leave you quiet and bliss filled.

Know that you can consciously understand how not to behave and how not to enter into the Cubby Hole Of Indifference.

Dig deep and create a inventory of all your good traits.

Do not let ego thoughts come in and tell you that you do not care about indifference.

One of the opposites of indifference is caring.

Caring about your life and the life of others.

Understand that there are no bad traits there are only mistakes that can be fixed by going deeper and not skimming the magic of life.

In doing this you can bring about unbelievable personality changes.

Do not be afraid of negative thinking as long as it is your choice.

For instance – I have ignored so and so because I do not want to take the time to be involved.

Indifference comes in many forms.

As I watch from my Ganga Porch I can see the different facets of indifference and the different facets of caring.

If there is a piece of paper on our beautiful Ashram Grounds some will pass it not wanting to walk around with it until they can get to a garbage bin and so they become unconscious or so they want to think and just pass it up or they will wait for another to pick it up.

Then there are those who will go out of their way and pick up the piece of paper and take it to the nearest bin and that is that.

The one who is indifferent caries that piece of paper around with them always.

As negative actions keep the ego alive, negativity lives on underneath layers of indifference.

In the present moment of your life no matter what your ego has led you to believe, your true inner voice can lead you out of any of the Karmic Spaces.

Through meditation one can begin to listen the the mystical music of intuition.

Being in the moment brings great joy.

By living the moments actions with out doing anything can give you a preview of what you will do in any circumstance.

See your self walking past that piece of paper and watch how it will come back in other forms to remind you what you did not do in your day.

Then see yourself picking up the paper and disposing of it leaving the Ashram beautiful and litter free.

This sounds like it takes a long time.

It doesn’t once you get the hang of it.

It only takes a few seconds.

We all have choices and once you understand choice, being indifferent becomes harder and harder.

And make no bones about it, your ego will fight you all of the way.

Doing this exercise can lead you deeper into your journey.

Just stay with it.

When you begin to understand that your Higher Power will help you to differentiate between selfless service and selfish thoughts, then you will understand about self love.

If you can not love yourself then you certainly can not love others.

Meditation on the self allows you to know positive things about yourself and yes negative things also.

The difference between the chosen path of thought is that you are willing to change and you understand that you can change.

Keeping this realization in your heart can create great strides for yourself in going toward the Light Of The Mother.

Remember you are what you chose to be.

My chelas you can all develop traits that can bring happiness to you and to others.

Use meditations regularly to allow you to become one who is not indifferent but one who cares. I love you my chelas.

Love Ma
