Om Ganesha,
Morning Pujas and Prayers
Sept. 5, 2008
Namaste my chelas all over the world.
Truly this is the beginning of the year when ever I come Home from retreat.
I can taste my Mother Ashram in all parts of my Being.
I want to thank all of you who took care of my dogs while I was on retreat.
You all did such a wonderful heart felt job especially when my Puja got operated on.
They all may be old yet they are still going strong thanks to you whom have taken care of them.
And my Shiva Kitty has to be well over twenty and hangs out by the Ganga under my window.
They are every thing to me.
Thank you again and again and again.
And now for the Kali Natha Teacher Training Course that is soon to come upon us.
I know that I promised to teach more and I will.
I have been preparing all of you who are taking this Sacred Course to be able to hold all that you will learn and put it to good use for your self and all of your students.
This will be the most exciting 10 day course ever given on our Sacred Ashram and I have already prepared my teachers of many many years.
You will find yourselves changed from the first second you arrive on Kashi Shores.
And speaking of change, I AM ASKING EVERY ONE WHO SEES THESE WORDS AND ALL WHOM YOU KNOW TO PLEASE VOTE.
Our future and the future of all Americans depend on the individual vote.
In fact the future of so many around the world depends on how many vote.
Certainly it is a time for change and that change is in your hands.
PLEASE VOTE.
I do believe that this is the most important election in all of our lives.
PLEASE VOTE.
And speaking of the Cubby Hole Of Indifference DO NOT BE INDIFFERENT THIS ELECTION, OUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE DEPENDS ON YOU ALL VOTING.
My chelas, in our beings there is always images and pictures that constantly are going on.
During meditation one can feel the wheels turning in the mind which are very subtle.
Actually it is very subtle processing and association.
The ego always has a commentary going on in our inner ear.
Being aware of the breath calms down the thinking process and brings on the feeling process.
What mode to you find yourself thinking this moment?
Is it yesterdays experience or tomorrow’s worry or are you in the moment?
If you are in the moment you are allowing yourself to penetrate the hard crust of indifference around our hearts.
When the crust becomes hard due to all that the body goes through you put up the wall of Indifference.
This is not even a path into the Karmic Spaces.
This is no where.
This is only banging yourself against a hard wall and hurting your mind.
This is the ego’s defense that will not allow you to live in the moment.
The wall becomes harder and harder in substance as you become more and more out of the moment.
Indifference to all feelings takes you to a new level of making friends with your ego.
THE EGO IS NOT YOUR FRIEND NOR IS IT YOUR ENEMY.
It just is,
It is an idea that plagues you.
It can not exist near the open heart thus the ego wall of Indifference.
Indifference has many meanings.
One can be indifferent to their own intuition thus starting them off in the wrong direction and this brings the mind into turmoil.
By being indifferent and entering into the Karmic Space Of Indifferent one misses happiness.
It is as simple as this.
Happiness is a by product of a action or a thought or a hope that comes true.
There are many other meanings of happiness.
One hears the ego saying over and over THE WORD IF.
If I could have this or see that, or do this then I will be happy.
The other word that goes along with if is When.
When I lose weight, or when i finish school or when I feel better.
The word If and When are the brother and sister of the word indifference.
The little space between the in and out breath of the thought and the thinking of the thought of If is the space of indifference.
Leaving out time by waiting for it to pass leaves out life and indeed life does pass and pass quickly.
One looks for approval and comfort and when they can not find it, they become indifferent to what is.
When on takes on the quest to find total happiness they find themselves ignoring the moment of happiness.
Letting the ego control the thoughts of your happiness or unhappiness is the way to lock your self into the mind set of the Karmic Space Of Indifference and the three walls surrendering it.
One can also think of happiness as a quest like Don Quixote when he challenged a windmill believing that the fan blades were all his enemies.
The ego can actually tell you that all dreams are impossible and so why try.
Thus the Karmic Space Of Indifference.
It is a space of not trying.
A space of not communicating with yourself and of course with others.
It is a space if you let it be of darkness and gloom.
And then when you have kept away from your true feelings and get tired enough you can see the light in the Karmic Space and you begin to pay attention to the small things as well as the big things in life.
The Guru teaches, THIS IS THE MOMENT.
THIS MOMENT IS THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM SIMPLY BECAUSE IT HAS LIFE.
I AM THE BREATH CRIES OUT THE MOTHER WITH IN.
DO NOT BE INDIFFERENT TO ME.
DO NOT BE INDIFFERENT TO YOU.
In the Karmic Space Of Indifference one seeks perfection not realizing that all is perfection.
When one inquires WHO AM I then one can feel the silence of perfection in the imperfection of the moment of breath.
Here let me show you.
Look around you now.
Now follow your breath and look around you.
If you are looking at your computer or the desk it is on, see the breath in it.
See it on it.
Look out a window if you can.
See life in a moving of a leaf.
Now hold your breath.
Notice how you can not think or enjoy any thing else because your mind is only on your breath.
Let the breath go and take a deeper breathe in and let that one go.
Allow the breath to become normal bearing witness to it and look around again.
Letting the breath be part of your looking and seeing.
Now you are not indifferent.
You are breaking the wall that is so hard with indifference.
The mind says YOU DO NOT FEEL AS GOOD AS YOU WANT and you think by your own choice, I do not feel so good and then you become indifferent to what you have to do and that which always was easy seems hard.
Life becomes a chore if you let it.
Yet doing what is in front of you and not procrastinating you break through the wall and this is the part that you have to think about, you are allowed to enter into the Karmic Space Of Indifference.
Yes my chelas, it is better to enter this space knowingly then to bang your whole life against the hard wall of indifference.
You begin to understand that you can turn yourself around.
As you begin to exit the Karmic Space of indifference you become alive and are able to handle your day to day existence on a better level.
The escape of avoiding what you do not like or do not like to hear is the escape of indifference.
Yet if you brace yourself with the knowledge that it is ok to not be perfect and you do not have to enter into indifference to avoid being over whelmed is a book by itself.
Can this actually be true?
True that you can live a different kind of life a gentler kind of life when you can see clearly that it is fine to be overwhelmed.
I ask you to write in your journals my chelas, what overwhelmes you.
What brings you guilt?
What is it that brings you sadness?
Then peal away levels of each question.
For instance DO I REALLY FEEL GUILTY OVER THIS OR THAT?
Or is it an excuse to not do any thing about it.
Yes Indifference is the Father of Procrastination.
The desire to win the approval of others stands in the way of doing what one has to do in order live life in the moment.
Try this moment to experience every thing slowly.
Take guilt.
Look straight at it.
Know that it does not pay to be guilty.
Do not run in fear.
Look at your fear.
Do not be indifferent to it.
Even if you can conquer on single second of fear you are on your way out of the Karmic Space of Indifference.
I love you my chelas with all my heart.
Love Ma
Jai Kali Ma Ki Jai
Always at His Feet Of Our Neem Karoli Baba Ki Jai
