Om Ganesha,
Morning Pujas and Prayers
April 27, 2009
Namaste my chelas all over the world.
Darshan means seeing the Sacred.
From the standpoint of the world one finds it hard to begin to see in stone or marble or wood or such THE SACRED.
Yet it is the seeker that places the sacred breath of understanding inside the living murtie.
It becomes real so very real.
In fact it is real.
One then feels taken care of and loved.
To be able to take care of such a murtie is like taking care of your own children or parents.
Never feeling alone or unloved.
My Baba has always told me not to deny my chelas the brilliance of the moment when chela can feel the breath of the Murti as they come closer and closer.
It is not just wood or material one is worshiping, it is the living breath of the living space.
How exciting the moment becomes.
It is like finding the nature of the whole experience.
A single God or Goddess does not in any way have a single form.
There are the appropriate postures and arms and legs and one just feels the essence of their Beloved as they place their eyes upon the Murtie and what the Murtie represents.
When one comes into Darshan they look toward the Guru and the Guru or Teacher becomes a great part of them.
They merge and one can not tell where one ends and the other begins.
You play in the moment and the moment is all that there is.
Simple, yes.
The moment is all we have.
We who can feel even for a moment the love of our Beloved flowing toward us as we walk toward the Devi invite the Devi or Deva into our Beings.
We become strong and filled with love that no one can take that from us.
The moment has invited us into the now and we bow heads with appreciation.
DARSHAN, To see and be seen.
I have seen life come into the almost dead who have given up and feeling all alone, they walk up to or are taken to the Deity and suddenly they have the passion of their youth back.
It is wonderful to see, to be allowed to be part of the moment.
And so we have Darshan.
And it is always Darshan for the Guru also.
Her chelas represent the invitation to live in the moment and to dance with the Gods or Goddesses.
To share the breath and the space and the sounds and the visions.
And it costs nothing to feel.
So the Guru makes Her way to Her Temple excited to see Her chelas and to be in their moment and they in Hers.
My Baba always told me, never take any thing for granted.
The sharing of love is an experience that one has forever and ever.
It is like lighting a candle in the darkness, and the darkness is lit by our love and this is Darshan.
We breathe it in, we swim in it and even after many years of giving Darshan and coming to Darshan, we all get quite excited.
We are participating in the moment, as my Baba always said, another word for love is SHARING.
And so I share my words with my chelas and I remember when I first heard them my self.
How wonderful to be able to give them to you my chelas.
What a divine gift.
The gift of seeing.
The gift of feeling.
And of course the gift of sharing.
Having seen Him, all is seen.
Having heard Him, all is heard.
Having touched Him, all is touched.
Having known Him, all is known.
I love you my chelas with all my heart and all my soul.
Love Ma
