Om Ganesha,
Morning Pujas and Prayers
August 28, 2010
Namaste my chelas all over the world.
The constant repetition of a mantra is known as Japa Meditation.
Japa becomes ajapa ( spontaneous ) Japa when the mantra automatically repeats itself with out conscious effort.
It is said in the scriptures that ajapa japa comes from the heart whereas japa comes from the mouth.
Ajapa japa is complete sadhana in itself and takes lots of practice of japa to achieve.
Mantra is a wonderful way for all of you to bring your selves deeper inside.
A simple mantra like OM LAXMI OM can take root in just forty days.
One can have more than one mantra.
Yet it is the Guru Mantra the one that the Guru brings to you as a gift from Her heart which no one else knows of is the Mantra Of The Soul.
Yet simply by saying Christ is My Beloved can open you up to yourself in so many different ways.
Japa if undertaken gradually with full awareness will eventually bring your hidden desires and fears and complexes out of your ego mind to the mental surface.
When this occurs little by little over a period of time the chela views those previously hidden samskaras with the attitude of a unconcerned witness.
This process releaves the mind of all tensions and stress.
The chela can even say over and over SPLIT THE TENSION SPLIT THE TENSION and a great release and renewal of life occurs.
Mantra exerts a direct influence on the nervous system’s ability to heal.
So Ham is a great mantra since it corresponds with the natural sounds of inhalation and exhalation.
If you are sitting and doing Japa try to feel the prana flowing between the navel and the throat.
When you inhale feel the prana rising upwards from the navel to the throat and during exhalation feel the prana descending from the throat to the navel.
You will have to use your visualization at first in the early stages.
You can imagine the Ganga rising and descending in a glass tube connected between the navel and throat.
Another way that you can have lots of success with is to visualize the sound and breath coming from the navel and back into the navel.
This will release a lot of tension and bring you a lot of Shakti in which to complete your meditation.
After a while contemplate your connection to the Universal Soul.
You all have this connection.
You were born to realize this connection.
You were born to have the joy of this connection.
This moment remembering the Name of Mother Ganga you can feel yourself being drenched by the liquid Mother.
She is known to be gracious to Her children.
Her eyes sparkle and She is always youthful.
She is called the spouse of Shambo yet She is the spouse of all who call out Her Name male or female.
I am getting ready to journey Home and can not wait to see you all and our precious Kashi.
I love you
Love Ma
